Welcome! This Resource Center Is Here to Help
In March of 2020 our Northern Virginia Region faced an unprecedented crisis: near total shutdown. From entertainment to office buildings, every business was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. What followed has been business disruption and unemployment of historic proportions.
In response, our government and civic organization members banded together to provide resources that will accelerate Northern Virginia’s recovery from this crisis. Our goal is to help organizations of all sizes engage in business continuity, business recovery, worker training, and retraining.
This site is intended as a one-stop clearinghouse where business owners and workers alike will find the programs and information that will support their business continuity and/or economic recovery.
About the Back to Work Leadership Task Force
The Northern Virginia Back to Work Leadership Task Force was created to provide a resource center for businesses and workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Before the economic crisis brought on by the spread of COVID-19, our region was facing a major talent shortage with 25,000 open jobs. Now, our region’s service industry workers in particular are facing rapid and widespread job loss. To be able to quickly get retrained and rehired will be critical to getting our economy running again.
Our member organizations each play a critical role in creating, attracting and retaining our world class work force. Working together we will reinforce our Northern Virginia economy and aid businesses and their workforce.
This project was funded in part by GO Virginia, a state-funded initiative that strengthens and diversifies Virginia's economy and fosters the creation of higher wage jobs in strategic industries.
